چکیده

• This solution was developed for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) System of the Department of Computer Architecture, Escola Politècnica Superior de Castelldefels, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. • The aim is to identify fire embers (that is, hot spots) in the images captured by an infrared video camera on the UAV in real time. The location and characteristics of the hot spots are then transmitted to a firemen team fighting a forest fire.
